Geen pasklare antwoorden ...

Wat een prachtig boek, Prediker, en wat heerlijk dat er geen pasklare antwoorden opgedrongen worden:

"[16] Ik zocht met heel mijn hart naar wijsheid. Alles wat de mens op aarde onderneemt, wilde ik doorgronden. Nooit geeft hij zijn ogen rust, dag noch nacht, [17] maar bij alles wat God doet onder de zon, zo heb ik ingezien, doet Hij wat Hij doet. De mens is niet in staat de zin ervan te vinden. Hij tobt zich af en zoekt ernaar, maar hij vindt hem niet, en al zegt de wijze dat hij inzicht heeft, ook hij is niet in staat de zin ervan te vinden." (Prediker 8, 16-17)

En wat een prachtig lied van Bob Dylan: It’s not dark yet …
… There's not even room enough to be anywhere; It's not dark yet, but it's getting there ...
We leren, en we leren veel. “It looks like I’m moving, but I’m standing still”, zingt Bob. “Wat er was, zal er altijd weer zijn, wat er is gedaan, zal altijd weer worden gedaan. Er is niets nieuws onder de zon.” (zei de Prediker in 1,9)

Uma verdade linda do Pregador

Um livro muito lindo, na Bíblia, o livro de Eclesiastes, o Pregador. E, quão bom, que respostas já feitas não se dão neste livro:
"[16] Aplicando eu o meu coração a conhecer a sabedoria, e a ver o trabalho que há sobre a terra (que nem de dia nem de noite vê o homem sono nos seus olhos); [17] Então vi toda a obra de Deus, que o homem não pode perceber, a obra que se faz debaixo do sol, por mais que trabalhe o homem para a descobrir, não a achará; e, ainda que diga o sábio que a conhece, nem por isso a poderá compreender." (Eccl. 8,16-17)
Um cântico lindo também, de Bob Dylan: It’s not dark yet … Traduzido: não escureceu ainda, mas tá chegando lá …
Nós aprendemos, e aprendemos muito. “Eu sei que parece que estou movendo, mas fico parado”, Bob Dylan canta. “O que foi, isso é o que há de ser; e o que se fez, isso se fará; de modo que nada há de novo debaixo do sol.” O Pregador diz (Eccl. 1,9).

Beautiful truth: It’s not dark yet ….

A beautiful book, Ecclesiastes, and how great, that no ready-made answers are imposed on us:
"When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe man's labor on earth—his eyes not seeing sleep day or night- 17 then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all his efforts to search it out, man cannot discover its meaning. Even if a wise man claims he knows, he cannot really comprehend it." (Eccl. 8, 16-17)
And, how beautiful the song of Bob Dylan: It’s not dark yet …… “There's not even room enough to be anywhere; It's not dark yet, but it's getting there ... ”
We learn, and we learn a lot. “It looks like I’m moving, but I’m standing still”, Bob sings. And there is nothing new under the sun, the Preacher says. “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1,9).
